RE:Search ft. Nightmares On Wax (DJ Set) w/ 5AM, Since Juleye, Mikey Thunder, Jordan Polovina

Iconic Warp mainstay Nightmares on Wax is announcing his long-anticipated return with new album Shape The Future. The marriage of soul, hip-hop, dub and timeless club sounds that N.O.W. has been mutating and perfecting for years finds perhaps its most fluid form yet on Shape The Future. Energized by globetrotting runs of studio sessions and DJ sets, this latest salvo is a masterpiece of contemporary and classic genre-blending that solidifies Nightmares On Wax’s place as an inspirational electronic music figurehead. This includes the shamanistic vocals of recent single Back To Nature, and in particular the arresting voices of Mozez alongside Kanye West and Flume collaborator Allan Kingdom, as featured on brand new cut Citizen Kane. Nightmares on Wax is one of the most influential artists of a generation, his music has inspired many musicians and producers across the globe over his quarter decade career. As Warp’s longest serving active artist, he has broadened the sound of the label and paved the way for artists such as Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawke and Mount Kimbie.

Detroit Love: Carl Craig and Moodymann w/ Soul Be Free

Carl Craig is described as a creative visionary, a groundbreaking electronic music icon, an inspirational artist, an esteemed Grammy-nominated composer, a world-class DJ and an ambassador for his native Detroit. Yet the common thread that runs through Craig’s broad musical canon and creative projects is a resounding fascination with futurism. Carl Craig has cultivated a unique path as an artist, entrepreneur and civic leader, guided by his tendency toward forward thinking. His remixes discography boasts some of the most desirable names in music – LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip, Junior Boys (nominated for a Grammy Award), Gavin Russom & Delia Gonzalez, Theo Parrish, Tori Amos, Can, Goldfrapp, Friendly Fires, Caribou, Tiga, Unkle, Yello and more. As well as an outlet for his own productions, his Planet-E imprint has given a home to a wide range of Detroit-based artists including Francesco Mora Catlett, Naomi Daniel, Flexitone, Jason Hogans, Kenny Larkin, Monty Luke, Moodyman, Mike Agent X, Oliverwho Factory, Ezana Harris, Recloose, Reference, Kevin Saunderson, Big Tone, Tribe, Urban Tribe, and Chaz Vincent. Staying strong to his Detroit roots, where he still lives today, Craig helped launched the Detroit Electronic music Festival in 2000 and remains a strong force at the festival today. He has also created and launched his non-profit 501-C3 Carl Craig Foundation: “The concept is to find ways to re-educate kids about what’s interesting musically that you can’t get on the radio… To develop a new music scene that follows the legacy of Detroit music being diverse and interesting, to spot out the most talented young musicians coming out of high school and lend small financial grants to encourage music education at a higher level.”

North Mississippi Allstars
North Mississippi Allstars w/ Special Guests

North Mississippi Allstars are back with PRAYER FOR PEACE and couldn't we all use one of those right about now? Founded in 1996 by brothers Luther (guitar and vocals) and Cody Dickinson (drums, piano, synth bass, programming and vocals), the now venerable band are entering their third decade with perhaps the most vital album of their career. Recorded in studios across America during North Mississippi Allstars' 2016 tour, PRAYER FOR PEACE sees the Dickinsons weaving their bred-to-the-bone musical sensibility with unstoppable energy, rhythmic reinvention, and a potent message of positivity, family, and hope. As ever, songs like R.L. Burnside's "Long Haired Doney" and the impassioned title track pay homage to the country blues legacy while simultaneously pushing it into contemporary relevance with fatback funk, electronic innovation, slippery soul, and pure unadulterated rock 'n' roll.

Action Bronson, Meyhem Lauren, Roc Marciano
Action Bronson – White Bronco Tour w/ Roc Marciano, Meyhem Lauren

Arian Asllani (born 2 December 1984), better known by his stage name Action Bronson, is an American rapper from Flushing, Queens, New York. Before entering the rap scene he was a respected fire-flame gourmet chef in New York City, and frequently raps about food in his songs. He hosts his own online cooking show entitled "Action in the Kitchen". He has gained notoriety for lyrically and stylistically resembling rapper Ghostface Killah (with whom he collaborated, along with friend and fellow rapper Termanology, on a song called "Meteor Hammer" from the 2011 compilation album Legendary Weapons). In an interview with HipHopDX, he was asked about how it was to sound like him, and he responded with, "Yeah, I mean at the end of the day, it’s all good because Ghostface Killah is one of the best rappers alive, so if I sound similar to the best rapper alive then that is fine. To me there is no comparison; he is a legend and I am a newcomer. If I would try and emulate with anyone it would be Kool G Rap, he is the person I look up to the most. I am not upset but at the end of the day I am my own person and no one can take that away from me." He released his debut studio album Dr. Lecter in 2011, which is available in digital download and also in CD-R on his official website. Action Bronson is an atheist, which he revealed in the song "Not Enough Words" (lyrics: "ask to swear to God, but in that I don't believe though"), from Action Bronson's collaboration album with Statik Selektah, Well Done. He was recently featured twice on Domo Genesis's & The Alchemist's debut collaboration album No Idols on tracks "Elimination Chamber (also featuring Earl Sweatshirt & Vince Staples) & "Daily News" (also featuring SpaceGhostPurrp & Earl Sweatshirt).
